Is DAEDAL really free?

Yes — always. The panels, apps, LUTs, film assets, sound effects and guides are free to download and use, and the DAEDAL application will be free too. Donations are welcome and optional.

Where do the downloads come from?

Every resource page has a download button for each platform. The files are hosted on GitHub Releases, so the download starts directly — no account, no email, no waiting page.

Do I need an account?

No. Nothing on this website needs an account. Only reporting an issue on GitHub needs a (free) GitHub account.

Can I use the assets in commercial projects?

Yes. LUTs, film assets and sound effects are CC0: use them in client and commercial work, no credit required. The apps and panels are free for any use as well.

When will the app be released?

There is no release date yet. Until then, its sync engine is available as DAEDAL Sync — free, for Mac and Windows.
