What it does

Checks that every file you shot has an identical copy on your backup drive(s).

Sources: memory cards, SSDs, folders — or a Premiere Pro project (.prproj), in which case it checks exactly the media used in that project. Backups: one or more drives/folders.

It finds copies even if you reorganized folders (it matches by path first, then by name + size).

Quick check: name + size (seconds). Full check: compares every file's content (hash) — the safe one.

Result: OK / MISSING / DIFFERENT for every file, plus a CSV report you can open in Excel.

Your files are only read — nothing is ever changed, moved or deleted.

First launch

Mac: right-click "DAEDAL Backup Guard" → Open → Open (or System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway).

Windows: if "Windows protected your PC" appears → More info → Run anyway. Keep the _internal folder next to the .exe.
